Fred and his team provide a comprehensive approach to the sales process. We have used Fred and his team for both buying businesses as well as the sale (recently) of our business.
When you are on the buying side you can trust the information that they are providing you – and you know the seller is prepared for the process. This is a huge savings of both time and money for a buyer.
When we (recently) used Fred and his team we were able to experience the full range of services that his team provides – from strategy, legal, finance as well as keeping you level headed and staying on track. They brought us multiple potential buyers that allowed us to choose the best buyer for us, our people, and our culture. Fred and his team – especially Leona who is a rock star – were so hands on and intimately knowledgeable about our business we did not have to inform our CFO or hire outside professionals to prepare the information needed to show potential buyers the support for our asking price – Fred and his team did all of the work for us.
Previously we had been approached by a single potential buyer and we went into the sales process with this potential buyer – we thought we were doing the right thing at the time. We were not fully prepared to enter into this process with them – from being prepared financially, operational information, legally, process and systems, etc… Ultimately we did not sell them – even though at the time we were very disappointed the sale didn’t happen it turned out to be a good thing for us and our people.
From a sellers point of view we would recommend Fred and his team for the following reasons:
– Fred and his team know the buyers who are out there – they gave us access to buyers we didn’t even know existed.
– They are a group of true professionals that were able to provide us high level services and support along the way that otherwise we would have paid for – we’ve used other brokers in the past and we did not get these services provided to us by the other investment bankers/business brokers.
– We found it very helpful to work with someone who knew our industry and could talk to us about what was reasonable as far as what the buyer was doing
